House Painters in Kellyville, Castle Hill and the Hills

We're house painters based in Kellyville, in The Hills Shire, and we paint homes across the Hills District from Kellyville to Castle Hill. It's all close to home, so it's local work for us, with early starts and no long drive eating into the day.

The work covers the whole house. Interiors and whole-house repaints. Exterior render, brick and weatherboard. Gutters, fascia and eaves, patios, columns and garages, plus roof cleaning and coating and driveway recoating. Plenty of jobs end up being several of these on the one property, done in a single visit, so you only clear the yard and move the cars once.

We're rated 5.0 from 24 Google reviews. The quote is free and itemised, and you'll hear back within 24 hours. Call 0402 161 207, Monday to Saturday, 7am to 6pm.

Exterior House Painting in Castle Hill

Exterior House Painting in Castle Hill

We paint render, brick and weatherboard, and each one fails in its own way. Render goes chalky on the sunny walls. Rub a dark cloth across it and it comes away white, so it has to be washed back and sealed or the new coat won't hold. Fine cracks are raked out and filled with a flexible filler so they don't open up again.

In Sydney the north and west walls take the most sun, so one side of a house can be due well before the other. South walls stay damp and grow mould, which gets a mould wash and a rinse before any paint goes on. On weatherboard, flaking paint is scraped back to a firm edge and bare timber is primed. Bare face brick is a bigger call: once it's painted, it stays painted.

Interior Painting While You Live at Home

Inside, we work around the people living there. We go room by room, keep the room we're in closed off and put things back each evening. The first repaint on a newer home is where the small stuff turns up: hairline cracks along the cornice and above door frames, nail pops, scuffed doors, and old touch-ups that show as patches when the light hits them. Each one is filled, sanded and spot primed before the topcoat.

Gerard M., a client for the past four years, put it this way: “They are neat, always tidy up after themselves, and extremely professional on site.”

Gutters, Fascia, Roofs and Driveways

Gutters, Fascia, Roofs and Driveways

Fascia, gutters and eaves take the weather on their edges and joints, so they usually go before the walls do. Flaking on a timber fascia tends to mean water is getting in behind the paint. The board is scraped back to sound timber, repaired where it's soft and primed. Bare or rusted metal gets a primer made for it.

Roofs and driveways often join the same job. We work from the top down: roof cleaning and coating, then gutters and fascia, then walls, with the driveway recoated last so nothing finished gets walked on. One client had the inside done, then brought us back for the roof, fascia and driveway.

Why Kellyville and Castle Hill Clients Come Back

How we run a job on a house you live in.

Tidy at the End of Every Day

Tools packed away, the mess cleaned up and rooms put back before we leave each evening.

Prep Before Any Paint

Cracks filled, chalky walls washed back and bare timber primed before a topcoat goes on.

Top Down, in the Right Order

Roof, gutters, walls, then the driveway, so nothing finished gets dripped on or walked over.

What to Check in a Hills District Painting Quote

Compare quotes line by line, not on the bottom figure. Each should list the prep for every surface, the number of coats, and the product and sheen for walls and trim. It should say how upstairs walls and any stair void will be reached, whether scaffold hire is in the price, what's left out and the days on site. When two quotes on the same house are miles apart, the gap is usually prep and access.

Hills District Painting Questions

Do you paint houses in Castle Hill?

Yes. Castle Hill is a short drive from our base in Kellyville, so it's local work for us. We paint interiors, exteriors, roofs and driveways across the Hills District. If you're on the edge of the Hills, call 0402 161 207 and ask.

How much does a house painter cost in the Hills District?

It depends on the house: its condition, how high the work goes and how much is being painted. One Sydney guide, What's The Damage (October 2026), puts a house painter at $40 to $100 an hour. Our quote is free and itemised, so you can see the cost of each part.

Can you do the house, gutters, roof and driveway in one visit?

Yes, and jobs are often booked that way. We work from the top down: roof, then gutters and fascia, then walls. The driveway goes last so nothing finished gets dripped on or walked over.

How long does it take to paint a house?

It depends more on how much is being done than on the size of the house. One client had the roof cleaned and painted, the fascia and guttering painted and the driveway recoated over four days. Ask for the days on site in any quote so you can plan around them.

Can you paint while we're living in the house?

Yes. Inside, we go room by room, keep the room we're in closed off and put things back each evening. If someone works from home, tell us which rooms you need and when, and we'll plan the order around that.

When is the best time of year to paint outside?

In Sydney, spring and autumn usually suit outside work best, with milder days and less risk of paint drying too fast on a hot wall. Summer and winter jobs still go ahead. In summer a west wall gets painted in the morning, before the sun comes round onto it.

Is the quote free, and how soon will I hear back?

Yes, the quote is free and itemised, and you'll hear back within 24 hours. Call 0402 161 207, Monday to Saturday, 7am to 6pm, or send us the basics: what needs painting, one storey or two, and roughly when.
